A tuff arch with an ancient heraldic coat of arms in the centre, a loggia and a portico overlooking an old courtyard, a 16th-century dovecote tower: here are the origins of our family. One hundred years of history, four generations, bearing witness to a solid winemaking tradition: this is Historical Flour. Classicism and an indissoluble bond with our land the distinctive traits enclosed in our personal interpretations of Recioto and Amarone, wines that symbolise the heritage and oenological evolution of Valpolicella, the hills that separate Lake Garda and Verona.

The winery was established at the beginning of the 19th century, more than 100 years ago, as a result of the passion and desire of the founders to exploit and spread the enormous potential for high-quality wine production.
Now the family business is in the hands of Claudio and Elena Farina, two cousins who represent the third generation and, together with Sandro (Claudio's father), carry on the business with the same passion for the land and this fantastic world.
In January 2018, we presented our new project 'Transparency, vision 2018'. The aim of the project is to show our identity and allow people to perceive our reality without any filter, in a totally transparent way.
It is a project designed to highlight every part of our production and every person or company that contributes to the making of our wine, from our winegrowers and vintners.

We have about 10 hectares of vineyards (70 hectares from our grape suppliers) some of them are on the plains, others are in the hills. The vineyard on the hill called 'Montefante' is a special place in a small village called Castelrotto, a few kilometres from the winery. This is where the best grapes are harvested for the production of our Amarone Riserva Montefante, which is only produced when conditions are perfect. From the vineyard we obtain low quantity but very high quality! In the vineyard on the hill called 'Montecorna', we harvest the grapes used to make Ripasso Montecorna. Today, the technological investment in the cellar becomes essential to enhance the effort made in the vineyard. With our concrete barrels, we wish to combine naturalness and quality with the concept of innovation, which is increasingly central to winemaking processes and our vision of the future.
